Patricius was built in 1861 by a rich Patricier (merchant). The house was later sold to the nearby church in Oostwoud and a pastor and his maid lived here for years. The authentic details, such as the ornamental ceilings and original tiled floor in the conservatory, have been very well preserved.
The village of Oostwoud is a village in the municipality of Medemblik, in the Dutch province of North Holland. The village has 915 inhabitants. The place name refers to the fact that the place was east of a forest. On June 3, 1710, the village was largely destroyed by a fire founded by a criminal.
Patricius is located in the old village center of Oostwoud with classical vowels surrounded by beautiful old farms.
